COMMUNITY WORK 2018
NEW HAMPSHIRE DESIGNER SHOW HOUSE
As one of the 18 designer firms selected thru a juried process, we were honored to participate in the first ever New Hampshire Designer Showhouse. We had a lot of fun returning the atmosphere of the second-floor office to its early 20th century heyday, and were so grateful to have our work benefit the local Home Hospice House.
For three of the hottest months in the summer we painted, prepped and preened the office. Selecting the perfect details from a pair of antique spectacles to a vintage typewriter, we were frequent shoppers at our local antique and consignment shops!
The Nashua Telegraph captured the essence of the space perfectly “Standing in the doorway of the late Frank E. Anderson’s home office, a visitor only needs to scan the room to get the feeling that Anderson had just risen from his chair, switched off the light and shuffled down the hall for a nightcap before turning in for the night”
BUILDING ON HOPE 2018
A year of designing, planning, coordinating, and fundraising culminated in two crazy weeks of an extreme makeover project on steroids. In the spring, we were part of a dedicated group of hundreds of volunteers from Building on Hope that completely transformed the Crisis Center of Central NH’s shelter for domestic assault and sexual violence victims.
Hundreds of volunteers worked side by side to demolish, build, paint and prep everything for reveal day. It was just like you see on TV, only better, because seeing tears come to the eyes of CCCNH director, and some of the residents was priceless. It’s a memory we’ll never forget.
We have never participated in a project that was so rewarding and so crazy to work on, but we know the ADA Accessible bath that we designed will be used and enjoyed by many residents for years to come!
